97 Rock Pulls the Plug on the Bills

97 Rock, the longtime provider for radio broadcasts of Buffalo Bills football, announced that it will no longer carry the teams' games.

Chet Osadchey, Vice President and General Manager for Cumulus Media, said in a interview with the Buffalo News that "After a lengthy negotiation process, we withdrew from the bid process with the team."

The Buffalo News tried to contact Marc Honan, Bills senior vice president of marketing and broadcasting, but he could not be reached for questions.

It is reported today that the Bills have reached an agreement with ENTERCOM Sports and WGR 550 on AM radio.

Bills CEO Russ Brandon said "we are excited about the Bills move to WGR 550 AM in Buffalo and the opportunity to speak and engage with our loyal fans, while providing them with the ability to hear our games on the 24/7 sports station they listen to most.
